Episode-001 Loops, Economics & Motivation

The very first time I tried writing code, one question kept echoing in my head“Is this really for me?” Am I the kind of person who could control these blue and yellow lines filled with logic where even a tiny semicolon whispers, “Don’t forget me!”

Just when I was ready to slam the laptop shut and give up, my branchmate Diksha laughed and said, “Aarye bhai, ho jayega reyy.” That one line became my debugging mantra. Somehow, it gave me the push to keep going.

I started with HTML and felt like a pro adding headings and colours life was simple. Then came C. Things still seemed fine, until the day they introduced data types and operators. At first, I thought, “Oh, this looks easy.” But little did I know these operators had a secret love for precedence that could turn my neat equations into chaos.

Now here’s the funny part I was actually an economics student. Numbers I understood but nobody warned me that one day, operators in C would confuse me more than supply and demand curves ever did. Fast-forward to the end of first year, everyone around me was already diving into OOPs concepts, while I was still trying to come out of the loops literally and figuratively!

But then, there was Diksha again, reminding me Bhai, tu loop se nikal jaayegi… aur aur bhi bright shine karega.” Honestly, that encouragement made all the difference. Step by step, bug by bug, I kept moving forward and somehow, the journey started making sense.

Somewhere along the way, I decided to give C++ a shot. It felt like C’s elder sibling strict, structured, and always reminding me about pointers I never asked for. Just when I thought, Bas, this is too much,

I discovered Python. 💻✨🐍IYKYK

And wow… Python was like that chilled-out friend who says, “Don’t worry, I got you.” Its simplicity felt like a breath of fresh air. Suddenly, code didn’t just mean semicolons and curly braces it meant possibilities. With Python, I could actually see how data, applications, and AI could come alive. That’s when my engineering stream shifted gears, and honestly, that’s what boosted my excitement the most.

But Just when I thought I was finally safe, Python pulled me into the world of AI/ML.

But that chaos? Well, I’ll save it for Episode 2. Stay tuned the twist awaits.

Regards,

Sgvani
