People Watching: Depression

1 min read

Anxiety turns into doubt, then fear, then self-hatred, then self-sabotage. One feeds the next until it feels endless.
You know you are alright; at least logically. But depression isn’t logical. It creeps in, convincing you that there’s no point to doing anything because whatever you are doing is shitty, you are so shitty, or the world is so shitty.
Even when you know it’s not true (it’s not), you still find yourself wanting to believe it; for some reason(self-sabotage).
Still, you repeat it to yourself: I am alright.
But depression keeps whispering louder than truth.
