Product Description

Dulux Aquatech™ Max Waterproofing is a robust, durable, and simple roof coating to apply which is designed to protect your house from the elements. It works like a thick, flexible shield made with high-quality pigments and durable polymers. Thanks to its Hydroresist technology, it create a tough but flexible barrier which covers cracks, stops water from seeping in, and protects against fungal growth. This waterproof paint is ideal for roofs, balconies, RC gutters, planter boxes, decks, external walls, and even interior floors under tiles where extra waterproofing is needed.

Application Description

The first coat can be applied by diluting the product with up to 30% water. After drying for 4 to 6 hours, apply 2 to 3 more coats of undiluted paint using a roller, switching directions for each coat. Leave 4 to 6 hours of drying time between coats, and let the surface dry for at least 24 hours depending on weather conditions. For added strength in certain areas, a polyester mesh can be used on the first wet layer. To get the best finish and waterproof protection, avoid using the product during rainy or wet conditions. It is not recommended for areas that are permanently submerged in water.

Health & Safety

Always work in well-ventilated areas and wear protective gloves and eyewear while applying Dulux Aquatech™ Max. Avoid inhaling vapours or spray. After using a brush and/or roller, clean immediately with water and store the container in a cool, dry place with the lid secured tightly. Keep away from food, drink and out of the reach of children. In case of contact with eyes or skin, wash with water immediately and seek medical help if required. Do not pour down drains or into any water body.

Tips and Advice

Before paint is applied, make sure the surface to be painted is clean, dry and in a suitable condition. Remove dirt, old paint, fungus or algae. If the surface has been affected by fungus or algae use Dulux Fungicidal Wash to treat the area. Any cracks or holes larger than 3mm should be repaired with a mixture of sand and cement. For painting, the surface must be smooth and even. All horizontal surfaces (roofs and decks) must be sloped so that water can drain. For a new surface, make sure the surface is dry and not extremely hot before applying paint. To paint a chalky surface, wash off the loose powder. Wash brushes and tools with clean water when finished.
