Amit Shah: Sindoor & Mahadev Strike Terrorists

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday highlighted the decisive impact of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev in countering terrorism, emphasizing that these operations have sent a firm warning to terror masterminds targeting Indian citizens.
Launched in May, Operation Sindoor was a strategic military initiative targeting terror hideouts and critical installations in Pakistan and PoK, in retaliation to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives. Following this, Operation Mahadev, launched in July, specifically neutralized terrorists directly involved in the Pahalgam massacre, significantly boosting public confidence in India’s counter-terrorism capabilities.
Honouring the personnel from the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF who played a pivotal role in these operations, Shah stated, “The security forces have demonstrated globally that no matter how sophisticated the tactics or strategies employed by terrorists, they cannot harm India and escape unpunished. The Pahalgam attack aimed to disrupt the peak tourist season in Kashmir, but it ultimately failed.”
Shah also acknowledged the role of forensic evidence from the NIA lab, confirming that the terrorists eliminated during Operation Mahadev were the same individuals responsible for the Pahalgam attack. “On behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the entire nation, I congratulate our security forces for reinforcing the sense of safety among Indian citizens,” he added.
He further praised the J&K Police for emerging as a frontline force in India’s fight against terrorism, highlighting the widespread support and appreciation for these operations across political parties and public spheres. Shah remarked that such trust in national security is fundamental to India’s aspiration to achieve global excellence in every domain.
These operations underscore India’s firm stance against terrorism, demonstrating the country’s preparedness to safeguard its citizens and strategic interests.
