One More Rep, One More Step – To the NCC Para Basic Course 2025

Every once in a while, life presents an opportunity that feels larger than yourself — something that tests your limits, your patience, and your resilience. For me, that opportunity has come in the form of the NCC Para Basic Course 2025, where I will be proudly representing the Karnataka & Goa Directorate and BMSIT.
This course, held at the Army Adventure Training School (AATS), Agra, is one of the most prestigious training experiences a cadet can aspire to. It’s not just about training; it’s about pushing boundaries and proving to yourself that you can take the leap — quite literally — from 1250 ft above sea level.
The Road to Selection: More Than Just Fitness
The journey to selection was no cakewalk. Out of nearly 60–70 cadets, each one physically strong and determined, only one had to be chosen. The competition was designed to test every ounce of physical capability — running, push-ups, pull-ups, endurance drills.
But here’s the truth: physical strength alone wasn’t enough. Everyone could run. Everyone could push themselves through reps. What mattered most was mental toughness.
I remember the exact moment when fatigue hit me hard — the point where my body was screaming to stop. That’s when it boiled down to a single thought:
“One more rep. One more step. Don’t stop.”
That mindset, more than anything else, carried me through the finish line. Because at the end of the day, when everyone is strong, the one who refuses to give up is the one who stands out.
The Result: First Place, One Seat, One Dream
When the results were announced, and I learned that I had secured 1st place overall, it was a surreal moment. Months and years of training, discipline, and consistency had led me here. From countless hours of calisthenics workouts to building endurance, every drop of sweat contributed to this outcome.
The reward? A chance to be among the 50 cadets in India who get to undergo the Para Basic Course this year and experience the ultimate thrill — the para jump.
The Course: 23 Days of Transformation
The course itself will last 23 days, where I’ll undergo specialized training in para techniques, discipline, and endurance. The highlight, of course, will be the para jump from an aircraft at 1250 ft.
It’s not just about the jump. It’s about overcoming fear, trusting your preparation, and leaping into the unknown with confidence. That moment will symbolize everything I’ve worked for — every rep, every step, every sacrifice.
Putting My Cloud Security Roadmap on Hold
Many of you know me as someone deeply invested in the Cloud Security Engineering roadmap. Over the past few months, I’ve been learning networking, Linux, scripting, and preparing for a future in tech.
This camp means I’ll have to put that roadmap on pause for about a month. And yes, it’s a little bittersweet — but I know that this isn’t a setback. In fact, it’s going to make me stronger.
Why? Because cloud security — or any career path — requires discipline, problem-solving under pressure, and resilience. These are the exact qualities I’ll sharpen during this camp. So, in many ways, this course isn’t a detour — it’s an upgrade.
Looking Forward
As I prepare to take this leap, I know that it’s not just about the para jump. It’s about the mindset I’m building — the mindset of “one more rep, one more step.”
I’ll give my best during this camp, and when I return, I’ll continue my cloud security journey with renewed energy. I’ll share the lessons I learned, how this course shaped me, and how it will reflect on my career and life.
This isn’t just about NCC or cloud security. It’s about becoming the best version of myself — stronger, tougher, and ready to face challenges in every aspect of life.
Because at the end of the day, progress isn’t about giant leaps. It’s about those small, relentless steps forward. And that’s exactly what I’ll keep doing.
🔥 One more rep. One more step. That’s how we grow. That’s how we fly.
