The Lost Developer

I'm a 2024 graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in CSE, and I haven't been able to secure a job yet.

  • I recently had a few interviews where I prepared for one thing but encountered something different. For example, one was an open discussion to move to the next round, another involved reversing an array to advance, and another was an aptitude test on a completely different tech stack, lol😭😭. Then, five days ago, I got a message from a company asking me to submit a task to be considered for an interview. A few hours ago, the deadline passed, and I couldn't submit it due to various reasons. The main issue was that I couldn't figure out what to do and what not to do.

  • I have figured out this much from this is I don’t know the core Software Development, like how a software i developed, the designing, handling users, handling connection frontend with backend, how to use AI only as much as need not to get dependent on it totally and I’m writing this blog because i wanna change myself i want to become a good developer, who can be proud of himself, I’m stuck in tutorial hell. I learned js, React.js,node.js,express.js but i don’t know how to make a project out of this and I want to learn from the developer who have already faced this issue and has overcome this, I want to learn how can i overcome this issue and become a better developer.

  • I've often heard the advice to make projects, build something, be consistent, learn in public, and promote yourself. These are true, but how do you navigate the vast internet without a guide or supportive friends? The internet is so vast that it's hard to focus, with something new appearing every day. I'm writing this not for sympathy, but to get feedback and advice from fellow developers on how I can change and become a better developer who can build projects independently. I'd love to hear how you overcame this issue and am always open to talking and learning from you. I would also appreciate it if you could suggest some good developers to follow to stay informed and knowledgeable about the tech industry and AI, and what's happening in the tech world.
