Why is Muhammad a Messenger of God?

1- The Trusted and Trustworthy (Even before Prophethood)

* When we look at the early life of prophet muhammad peace be upon him, we will see that from the beginning of his life he was called by his people “the trusted and trustworthy.” After Prophethood, his enemies would come to him and ask him to keep their stuff safe, and when they return the prophet would return it to them safe and sound. Even when the prophet was going to migrate because of how much his people hurt him, he told Ali ( a close companion of his) to stay and return everything that the people left with him to them.

2- A Man who had everything to lose

* The prophet peace be upon him was someone who had everything a person could ask for at the time, he was married to khadija who was called by her people “the pure one” and she was a woman of great character and wealth even before islam and everyone loved her. The prophet was very wealthy at the time to the point where he took care of other people’s children when they could not afford raising them, he was even very beloved by his people and was known as a very smart, kind, and trustworthy man. With all of this in mind, he still took the mission of spreading god’s word to his people, this had very negative backlash as his people who did not accept islam would torture and boycott his followers. The prophet and his followers were put in a very dire situation where they literally had to eat grass to survive. That did not make the prophet stop preaching nor did his followers stop supporting the message. We conclude that the message was very costly to the prophet as it costed him and his followers all their wealth and efforts and they sacrificed so much for islam to be where it is today. No sane person would do all of this for a lie, making the prophet’s commitment to spreading the truth a very strong reason to believe he is truly a messenger of god.

3- The Quran: A challenge to mankind

* The Quran is the living miracle that the prophet peace be upon him left for everyone. The Quran stays to this day an unmatched piece of literature that no one can replicate. From telling about future events, to scientific miracles, to unmatched eloquence. Most people doubted that the Quran is from god, so Allah through the Quran challenges people in multiple places ( 1 example is 17:88) Where Allah The Exalted says, “Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If ˹all˺ humans and jinn were to come together to produce the equivalent of this Quran, they could not produce its equal, no matter how they supported each other.” This challenge is still open until today, and no one is able to beat it. Imagine a book written 1400 years ago with all of our advancements, achievements and technology, no one is ever able to write something like it. How come an illiterate man 1400 years ago in a desert come up with a book that the smartest people at the time and today can not replicate? was that man really that smart? Or is it really a revelation from god and that’s why no man can ever imitate it? It only makes sense that when god reveals his words, no one should be able to even come close to it because god is omniscient and omnipotent. This is exactly what the Quran is, a speech of god that until today no human being, no AI can ever make something like it. This is why it is indeed the word of God and this is why it is the living miracle of the last of God's prophets, muhammad peace be upon him. This is a clear sign from god to embrace his religion, so how long are people going to wait for?

You are going to find so many people trying to deceive you away by throwing arguments here and there. Your only way to find the truth is through knowledge, and knowledge is a weapon no one can beat. Through knowledge you will be able to differentiate between what is fake and what is real. At the end I want to share some strong verses from the Quran that I believe will have a strong effect on people and god willing, will be a sign for those who are sincere.

“˹Are they better˺ or those who worship ˹their Lord˺ devoutly in the hours of the night, prostrating and standing, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of their Lord? Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Are those who know equal to those who do not know?” None will be mindful ˹of this˺ except people of reason.” Quran 39:9

“Can ˹the misguided be like˺ those whose hearts Allah has opened to Islam, so they are enlightened by their Lord? So woe to those whose hearts are hardened at the remembrance of Allah! It is they who are clearly astray” Quran 39:22

“˹It is˺ Allah ˹Who˺ has sent down the best message—a Book of perfect consistency and repeated lessons—which causes the skin ˹and hearts˺ of those who fear their Lord to tremble, then their skin and hearts soften at the mention of ˹the mercy of˺ Allah. That is the guidance of Allah, through which He guides whoever He wills. But whoever Allah leaves to stray will be left with no guide” Quran 39:23
