The way people watch TV has changed a lot. Earlier, we used to wait for our favorite shows to come on cable at a fixed time. But now, people enjoy the freedom of watching whatever they want, whenever they want, thanks to OTT platforms. Despite these changes, Partho Dasgupta believes cable TV can still survive and grow. He feels that if cable operators start using new technology and offer better choices, people will come back to cable TV for its improved quality and ease of use.
Partho Dasgupta suggests that cable providers should update their services by adding high-definition and 4K channels, offering more content on demand, and even creating mobile apps so people can watch on their phones or tablets. He believes combining cable and digital features can give users the best of both worlds. With better packages and flexible prices, cable TV can still be a strong player in the entertainment world.
